What Happens During An Emergency Dental Visit

An emergency dental visit is focused on the immediate problem.


The dentist may examine the area, take needed X-rays, identify what is causing the pain or damage, and explain appropriate treatment options.


In some situations, treatment may be possible during the same visit when clinically appropriate and scheduling allows. Same-day treatment is not guaranteed.
